Kim Rollins was born with Summerville, OR being his home town. Summerville is in NE Oregon, approximately 253 billion miles from anything. He picked up a camera at a very young age and used to mail the film across the state to a cousin who developed it for him... until his cousin got tire of seeing snapshots of his dog. Though he gets immense enjoyment out of photography he has to work hard at it, he constantly tries to train his eyes. His insatiable thirst for the outdoors and growing up in a hunting family has taken him toward wildlife imaging but landscapes are there too. It is doubted that any fame or fortune will come from it all.
Generally speaking he would class himself amongst the luckiest and most cheerful of men. He bumbles along through life finding amusing and interesting and fun aspects to just about everything he sees and does. His wonderful wife Diane, three fine sons Balin, Eban and Ansin, good friends and his photography get him past any odd moment of despondency.
Regarding fame, fortune and Oregon he does wish he had more money. He now calls Burns, Oregon his home.
